1. Core #01: PP 10 inch (5/10um)       

– Structure: The core is made of porous polypropylene fibers, which are then compressed tightly.

– Function: Filters out organic impurities, rust, mud, and suspended solids in water larger than 5 microns.
– Replacement time: every 6-12 months

2. Core #02: GAC 10 inch             

– Structure: The filter core is made up of activated carbon particles.

– Function: Removes odors and filters organic sediment from water.

The core consists of a plastic casing containing activated coconut shell charcoal. Activated charcoal has a porous structure. These pores and micro-cracks have very strong absorption properties.

Function: Activated carbon has a strong ability to absorb various types of oils, odors, and dissolved organic substances, exhibiting a “hydrophobic and oleophilic” nature. Activated carbon has also proven effective in treating radioactive substances, arsenic, and ammonia.
 3. Core #03: 10-inch CTO                      

– Structure: To maximize the absorption efficiency of activated carbon, it is ground into a fine powder and then compressed into blocks. This increases the surface area in contact with water, thus improving treatment efficiency. Compressed carbon cores are generally more effective than granular carbon cores.

Function: Activated carbon has a strong ability to absorb various types of oils, odors, and dissolved organic substances, exhibiting a “hydrophobic and oleophilic” nature. Activated carbon has also proven effective in treating radioactive substances, arsenic, and ammonia.

4. Filter #4: Reverse Osmosis (RO) Filter     

The R/O core (R/O membrane): is made of polyamide synthetic fibers, which are inherently very difficult to decompose in nature.

Function: With ultra-fine filter pores of 0.0001 micron, hundreds of times smaller than bacteria, the RO membrane provides thorough microbiological safety. In terms of physicochemical properties, household RO membranes are designed to remove up to 90% of heavy metals in water, providing absolutely safe and healthy water. (Specialized RO membranes used in electronic chip manufacturing can remove up to 99.9% of metal ions).
If using well water or shallow water sources, to ensure the longevity of your home RO membrane, it’s recommended to install additional pre-filters before the system. This helps reduce sediment buildup that can clog the RO membrane’s internal space, thereby reducing filtration efficiency.
No matter how polluted your household water source is, RO (Reverse Osmosis) is the best technology you can get.
Replacement and maintenance: The RO membrane should be surface-washed (using a manual drain valve) approximately once a month. Typically, after about 24 months of use, the RO membrane begins to reduce its filtration capacity. If the pre-filters are replaced on schedule, the average lifespan of an RO system is approximately 3 years. For some high-quality water sources, it can last up to 5 years.

5. Filter Cartridge No. 05: Filter Membrane T33 activated carbon (also known as carbon-enhanced core):

– Structure: The core consists of a plastic shell containing activated coconut shell charcoal. Activated charcoal has a porous structure, and the micro-cracks and voids have very strong absorption properties.
– Function: Restores the natural sweetness and coolness of water, balances pH levels.
This filter core contains the highest quality activated carbon, ensuring maximum water quality, helping to raise the pH level, and creating a refreshing drinking experience.
